Suse is a flavour Linux, so ardour will run on Suse. You might want to check http://en.opensuse.org/JackLab
Distribution specific questions are better answered on forums related to the distribution in question. I for one have never used Suse, so I can’t help you there. But the Jacklab people on the other hand are specialized in Suse and audio, so they will be able to help you a lot better.
