Ardour 9 RC1-21 Cannot get Audition to work

I am unable to get complete playback, if any from the MIDI clips Audition in the clips. I have removed my old ~/.config/Ardour9 folder and reset everything for good measure. On occasion the audition may playback a small blip of what it should ( a single kick drum ) but it inconsistent. Most of the time there is no playback.

Audio Audition works fine ! Regular MIDI tracks work and playback fine, just no audition audio!

Suggestions ? Bug ?

Yes. Also in the Import Dialog.

Current workaroud: move the seek slider … and then the MIDI clip plays.
