Ardour 9.7 Hard quantize only?

Good evening
In ardour 9.7, working in the Edit window, I am not getting a quantize dialog either when in grab mode with Alt5 or edit mode Q. It just hard quantizes both start and end of notes to the grid value.
Is this the expected behaviour?
I preferred to be able to set up quantize each time I applied it, which no longer seems to be an option.
Im on Debian 13, Linux 6.12.90, Gnome

I think it moved to “MIDI Tools” sidebar.
This sidebar exists both in Edit view and in Piano Roll view (local to region).

Sidenote: parameters do not persist in saved sessions as of 9.7.2.
