We released Ardour 9.2 today, a quick hotfix for a silly problem with ruler visibility. It also has a fix for an uncommon (we hope!) crash on Windows. The main release notes have been updated, and you can download at the usual place.

Saludos!!
Ardour 9 has become my favorite DAW. There are still a few rough edges here and there, but the overall direction is spot on. Thank you so much!
I’m coming back to Ardour after many years away. Looks great!
Отличная работа! Очень нравится Ardour 9.2!
Желаю здоровья и продолжать так дальше! УРА!
nice!!!
After using it for a few hours, only issue i’ve had is that the ams-lv2 (amsynth) plugins cause a segfault when trying to open the UI - which doesn’t happen with other hosts like carla.
I can’t remeber if i asked this before for 9.0, 9.1…I’m kind of buried in chores so i feel little disoriented these days. I’m clicking thru 9.2, so this is the first thing i stumble upon:
Is pianoroll fixed size window, cause it always appears like this, and there’s no way to make it fit? This laptop’s screen is 1366x768 max (Debian13, X11 session, XFCE).
Edit: I found a workaround to fit it to screen by setting xfce’s display settings scaling to 0.75, but now everything else seems kind of tiny…Is that the way to go? No better option?
Plenty of alternatives. It’s a very basic synth.
The GTK2 version of it will not work with Ardour (and is already removed from debian/testing). amsynth finally moved away from GTK2 (yay) to JUCE (
) so expect different bugs ![]()
Nevermind this.
Everything fits when xfce display settings is set to 0.83, and everything looks fine to me now.
I suppose minimum resolution is set to xwga or 1440x810?

O joyous day!
