Ardour 8 tempo bar is missing

Hi!
I am using Ardour 8 on linux. In the new version, the tempo bar in the edit window has disappeared. For example, I used to be able to set the tempo at 5 bars 120 bpm, then 5 bars 140 bpm, and 5 bars 120 again. In previous versions, I did this using tempo markers on the tempo bar. Now this lane is gone. And I can’t put up tempo markers. How can I make a tempo change in Ardour 8?

Then switch it on !

ruler area

Right mouse button in the ruler area > Tempo

It most likely means that your session is using audio time by default, which means we hide the tempo ruler, by default. At @guth indicated, you can explicitly enable it, but you may want to consider switching the session default time domain, in Session > Properties
