Before downloading, this info. here says Ardour v8.6.7 will work with Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10):
However, when I try the demo package, this is the result:

I am happy upgrading to El Capitan (10.11) (-but not further(?)) if that will work.

MacOS Intel builds are compatible with ≥ 10.11 (El Capitan and later), ARM64/M1 builds require ≥ macOS 11.0 (BigSur or later).
