We discovered (thanks to our wonderful users) that there was an error packaging 8.11 which led to translations no longer working. There was no impact on the functioning of 8.11, and the fix did not involve making any changes to the software, only a minor alteration to the packaging process.
As a result, we have updated the release packages for the following platforms:
- Linux Intel/AMD x86_64 (all 64 bit Intel/AMD chipsets)
- Linux arm64 (64 bit ARM chipsets, such as newer Raspberry Pi systems)
- macOS x86_64 (Intel-based Apple systems)
- macOS arm64 (Apple Silicon (M1,M2,M3,M4) systems)
Windows packages were unaffected.
If you downloaded any of the above versions and want to use translations, download again, and they will work now.
If you use Ardour without translations, no action on your part is required.
