Apple M1 and Ardour

As my current laptop is actually totally overwhelmed with my audio projects, I’ve been thinking about getting a Mac Mini M1 on the second-hand market.

Questions:

  • Is the small configuration of the M1 with 8 MB RAM sufficient for Ardour use?

  • Do most plug-ins now run on the computer? (I mainly use the Ardour-Plugins, Harrison plug-ins and AmpleSound, OverTone DSP FC70)

  • How is it with my interface (Mackie Onxy Producer 2-2)?
