Android Recommendation

Hey there,

I am looking for something lightweight to record stuff on-the-go when going out with some friends jamming. I am currently using my Android tablet for that and it works okay (using FLStudio now). The problem is that when I get home and I want to reorganize stuff, I cannot simply export the project, I have to pick the tracks one by one and re-align regions if there are multiple per track.

Since Ardour is not coming to Android (or is it?) is there any Android app that could export basic (tracks, regions and their position, tempo, time signature, etc, but not effects and the likes) stuff in a format that Ardour could comprehend?

Audio Evolution maybe?

Do you even need regions? Something that emulates a tape style interface might be easier to deal with, with just tracks, you hit record arm and go.
Do you need MIDI or just audio?

Thanks I will take a look!

@ccaudle
Well, I need everything I can take? Lol
Regions are necessary, because we make many takes, and shift things back and forth. It would be nice to have all snippets for posteditting and re-recording parts that need re-recording.

(but now that you mention, is tape recording still available on Ardour? I tried it this week and couldn’t find it anywhere…)

MIDIs would be quite important too, 'cause sometimes we use some drum tracks I program on the go.
