Ace Fluid Synth access to MIDI CCs

I don’t think this is possible but just want to confirm.
I was wondering if Ace Fluid Synth / Fluidsynth in general offers access to CC parameters for attack and release? I looked in the Ace Fluid Synth - Automation - Controllers but did not see anything.

Thank You

Okay I didn’t think this would generate a response.

Just to make some use of this post maybe someone could answer some of the following questions about MIDI CC controls regarding this topic.

I have seen a couple of different MIDI CC controls mentioned that all seem to be for “envelope” based parameters ADSR, I was wondering what they are actually used for?

The Soundfont spec mentions
CC#
26 attackModEnv
27 holdModEnv
29 sustainModEnv
30 releaseModEnv
etc.
but no soundfont players seem to use/allow access to them?

Also if you load up any (most) plugin instruments in Ardour and go to the Automation buttons context menu and choose “Controls” you end up seeing the following parameters shown
CC#
72 Sound Controller 3 (default: Release Time)
73 Sound Controller 4 (default: Attack Time)
this might not be accurate all the lists I have found online appear to be different.
Are these specific to some kind of hardware?

Anyways, if anyone has any information about these envelope based parameters, please let me know.

Thank You

No, neither ACE Fluidsynth, nor fluidsynth allows to change the envelope via MIDI CCs.

If I understand the fluidsynth API documentation correctly, this could be implemented using custom SoundFont Modulators.

I don’t believe you can change it dynamically during playback (as with CC). fluidsynth modulators apply to subsequently created voices.

Thank you guys for the responses.
Unfortunate to hear but good to finally know that this is not possible.
Could never understand why chorus and reverb effects would be offered but no parameters to alter the actual instruments themselves.
Anyways, yeah I could never understand what to do with similar items shown on that “SoundFont Modulators” link mentioned above, I assume that this is for coding the actual plugin, and not for users of the plugin.
Thank you guys again for your responses, this was helpfu.
