Access 2nd instance of a plugin

Hello,

in the pin connection box of a plugin, it’s possible to create a 2nd instance of that plugin. The entry of that plugin is then marked with a star in the pluginbox of the channel. This works as described in The Ardour Manual - Track/Bus Signal Flow
But: how do i access the 2nd instance? I don’t find a way to open it. Did i miss something?

You cannot do this directly.

You can only edit the 1st instance and internally parameters are synchronized. The state of all additional instances is a copy of the first.
