Trying out the Ardour7 “Cue” page today, I found myself puzzled at the labels on several many of the “bundled” MIDI loops: does it make sense that a one-shot cymbal hit followed by a single bongo / conga hit, for instance, gets a label containing “groove”? (There are four such “grooves,” for instance, in the “nitejazz” group under “MIDI beats”: AFAICT, they are identical).
I’m not sure what is the creators’ intent, but a MIDI drum loop whose name includes “groove” but which does not have any timekeeping relevant to its genre is pretty banjaxed.
Am I missing something here?
