In 1987 (I think) my friend Art gave me some lyrics. I put music to this one that was about cartoons. At the time I would record a part on a cassette deck and then play along with that while recording it to another deck. Repeat until it was done. I had pretty much forgotten it. Recently my kids heard it and thought it was cool so I recorded a new version. I used Ardour, Guitarix, and Hydrogen with the samples from Glen McArthur’s 4 piece Black Pearl. Used a-compressor, X-42 eq, a little bit of a-delay on the lead guitar, Calf Saturator in the master and Dragonfly Room reverb in the reverb bus.
