32bit to 64bit session compatibility

Hi, I’m planning to update my whole studio setup from 32bit to 64bit, I use mainly the amazing linuxdsp plugins that are available in both formats, but I wonder will Ardour (version 2.8.12) retain session compatibility? I’m gonna use the same Ardour version for 64 bit and use the same plugins, will I be able to open the old sessions just fine?

Going off memory yes, the IDs for the 32 bit and 64 bit plugins are identical. I did a similar switch without any issues I remember about a year or so ago. You can always test it with a LiveCD though.
