Weep (?) and discuss

Sure, there’s some hyperbole there and the typical influencer drive to generate click traffic. I don’t know if I could spend an hour with someone so hyper without losing my mind… I don’t particularly like the hard rock genre he’s working in either but in the context of the brief prompts given with such a silly pretext for the lyrics the composition of the song and the sound quality was far beyond what I expected to see. Truthfully a couple of more instrumental prompts and a more cohesive lyric concept would be all it takes to take this from a decent ‘whim ditty’ to a hard rock song that would better many in that genre. To be fair he acknowledged he’s an influencer and he did say because of that he’ll be OK… None of that deflects what the AI was capable of and that was the intended takeaway.

It’s not just hyperbole, it’s dishonest to be inferring it’s his main job and sitting there all sad like he’s losing something. He’s done, he’s screwed, music composition as a business blah. These were the sentiments. Couple of days ago he posts about how his influencer job is full on and he’s all day editing videos.

I said before that spotify takes out the human connection and context part of music, especially discovering it. Same is with A.I. Maybe musicians that don’t compose will use it most, just like composers who don’t play instruments have been using virtual instruments for the past decades.
