And yeah, I’ve been thinking as well and there are a lot of arguments against being in a store. Like having to keep up with another place where questions are raised. The issues of bugs giving negative reviews, and such forth. Also, why Steam and not the Microsoft Store or whatever Apple has?
There are many arguments. I wouldn’t say Sonar was extremely successful there neither 10 years ago.
But I don’t know, blender chooses to be there for some reason. So does Krita. And I always keep in mind the huge Windows userbase and young people getting into music software. Also, those guys have great reviews there. And well, I don’t know how the payment processing works, but maybe a lot of Windows and Mac users who have an issue with Paypal would like to get it there. However, I am aware that they take like a 30% cut or something of the sort. But prices can be adjusted and I don’t know, some money is better than none? Maybe? At least they distribute and sort of make some publicity for it and are not just another meaningless payment method.
