Oh there is a huge difference between San Diego and Santa Fe for the record;)

San Diego is at sea level, hovers around the 70’s all year, has essentially a perfect mediterranean climate, is expensive as hell and fairly crowded. It is also in CA, one of the largest and most dynamic economies in the world.

Sante Fe is at 7000’, regularly swings between 85F and 50F on a single day in summer, and can drop to 0F in winter, is essentially a desert next to a 12000’ mountain range, is getting overpriced and is not crowded. It is also in NM, the 4th largest state in the US with a population of only 2 million, high levels of poverty, low levels of education and an as-yet largely unused space port.

Other than the first 3 letters of their names, and being west of Mississippi, the two have nothing in common.

I just took a look at some photos of San Diego and it looks incredibly built-up. I can see now why it’d appeal to someone from London - but yes, it’s all very different from Santa Fe.
