Ardour 6.5 is released

Doesn’t always get a response, Feature Requests especially get looked at at specific points when planning future development work, which is why they get lost so easily on the forums, and why the bugtracker is a much better place for them.

Thakk you for all your work. Ardour is good for programing

Ardour 6.5 keeps telling me that “invalid byte sequence in conversion input”

When does it happen, and on which OS?

It means that some invalid foreign character is used. Perhaps an umlaut (öäüß) in mismatching locale that does not support those.

Ubuntu Studio 20.04 installed yesterday. Trying to install Ardour 6.5 using the .run from the download.

Now when trying to start Ardour after I tried ridding my system of ardour 5.12.0 with the rm -rf in the terminal;
cannot find icon for zoom-in-cursor.png using /home/xxxx/.config/ardour5/icons:/usr/share/ardour5/icons
That is because I did the rm -rf to everything I could “locate” in the term. Yes, I know I messed up.
Is there a method of posting screenshots along with a post, ala linuxmusicians, etc.?
Thank you Robin Gareus
