Thanks for sharing that, I am not a fan of the ‘belts’ either, it would be nice to have a smaller matching fader that would work with the horizontal channel strips as well. I found a set from a very old post here bit they don’t look as good as the one you posted. I really like the faders in mixbus but of course that is total hardware emulation.
I like the belts. a lot. I don’t agree that Ardour looks like a toy. It just looks like a computer program, rather than a photo-realistic rendering of a physical tool. For me, that is not a disadvantage of Ardour.

I like the belts a lot too. Some details of the interface could be sleeker, but I love that Ardour looks so utilitarian.
